This first attempt at 'video' is a casserole of clips taken on the beach.  First, we "give to get" - putting a little gold dust back into the sea to ensure a favorable return.  Then we work the sand down 'til it's fed into the sluice.  The riffles in the black mat catch the heavy gold as the water washes the sand to the bottom.

This video file captures Klondike Ken (at 75 years of age) and his son - Kenny - bustin' through the tundra trying to find a way through to the dredges up the river.  I shot the film from my position in the bog; the four of us had just lifted my ATV out of a mud hole and the Kremms were looking for an alternate route.
